love it! they are like little shiny buttons. so sweet. how did you manage to get so close? or was it an ultra zoom? usually with those you lose the detail the more it gets zoomed in. Love it!
Hi, Lily. Sorry to take so long getting back to you. The clarity that you speak of comes from using a fixed focal length 600mm lens, the result of a 300mm prime telephoto with a 2x extender behind it, both good Canon glass on an ancient Mark III that has an old-fashioned sensor, pre-CMOS, hence pr-charged, and capable of (or cursed with) lots of saturation. I was ten feet away. Glad you liked the image of the sweet little girl!
Great capture of hummingbird, usually they are on the move. Colors of bird are awesome, really stands out with shallow depth of field, probably had to use a long lens for this . Very good.
