Description
This very "fresh from the nest" cardinal chick checks me out where I hide in the mulberry tree. I believe its a female, but only time will tell, as sexes in juveniles are similar. It was an unexpected shot, hand-held, with ISO set at 2000, and f/8, as I had just taken the camera off the tripod. None the less, I rank it as one of my best cardinal shots. Taken in Kansas.
