The barbed wire is very much a part of how I see my state, as well as red barns and lots of sky. Can you see the red hand pump in the middle of the photograph? (you might have to enlarge it). We have an old pump just like it in our back yard that Nana painted red. Who can tell us why barns are painted red? There must be a reason, other than aesthetic.
