Playing with slow shutter speed (1/2 sec) using the 85mm on the old Canon EOS 1 Mark III, and then converting with Silverlight, I try to capture the cat as she moves with her liquid intent, with her eyes in the sweet spot of the lens. Maybe I chase an illusion, I reflect, as I remember that she is descended from the only animal that domesticated itself. In fact, Oreo here came in from an alley as a kitten and adopted us nine years ago, and has kept us free of mice ever since. But she is an indifferent model, and takes no direction, as I think you can tell.
