Description

Allen's hummingbird (Selasphorus sasin) adult female feeding on the flower of a large palm tree, approximately twenty-five feet above the ground. What looks like a blue ribbon is the outermost petal of the white flower on the right. These flowers drip with nectar. I love the romance of the shot.
