Someone to Live For

Here Carol fixes her gaze on Maggie, right after I had affixed the wide angle lens in order to sneak an exposure of my old friend, during a portrait session that was intended to make an image of the dog alone before she had to be put down, an event that followed the shoot by about two months. Luckily, I was able to capture the dog with the wind blowing her ear straight up, with the 85 mm, and now the black and white print hangs on Carol's wall. The problem is that Carol no longer takes walks in the park, and is becoming a recluse. Without a dog, her life will be curtailed. I must have her over very soon, and ask her if she wants to live or not. There are plenty of little dogs out there, waiting to love and be loved, and who would give her a reason to live.
