Thrasheresque

Viewed from this angle, one would think brown thrasher. Viewed from the front, one would see the heavily spotted breast and say curve-billed thrasher. Perhaps I will upload another file that shows the front, and we can argue it out, as birders are wont to do when time allows. In any event, I love the exposure, because it was made in the right light, and all the elements of the thrasher that I love are visible, to wit, the eye, the toes, and that very long tail. This is not any easy bird to capture, because there is only one hereabouts, and she is a bit shy. I say curve-billed, due to the spots on her breast. Taken on 7/28/2013, Kansas City, Kansas, dawn.
