Train spotter
This is a dramatic and inspirational photo that demonstrates the power that women have in a male dominated world. The female subject has a proud and graceful expression almost as if to say I’m here and I’ve made it. Her cloths suggest a less high ranking position one of which could appear to be perhaps a bit rough but, the cloths contain history; much preferred then say a clean suite that can be seen as fake. Her whole posture suggests that she is a drifter. Some days you will see her, some days you won’t, a captured moment of an elegant creature in her element.
The light in this photo is soft yet sharp helping to connect women and machine giving them a common ground. This common ground helps establish the relationship that they have. It would be like seeing a fish out of water or birds without a sky, they belong together.
To have chosen to have the photo in black and white was a wise chose. The colours would have been too dominant over each other, it would have been a fight rather than a peaceful corallines.
My only advise for the future is to try and be more creative with your subjects truly capture that moment....and sadly I can’t give you advice in how to do that but, one day you will capture a moment were you think to yourself “wow I don’t think I could have got a better shot”
